1. Hanger information provided does not match the construction information in the Building Permit (BLD04-02144) attaching to TJS trusses, etc. Provide correct hanger details/information corresponding with the approved building construction. (BMC 7-01-50 AMENDMENT MODIFYING IFC SECTION 901.2, IFC 105.4.2, NFPA 13:14.1.3[22])
2. Portions of this facility are addressed as a "Spec" Warehouse. Fire sprinkler systems installed in warehouse type buildings commonly referred to as "spec" warehouses where storage heights of combustible materials over 12 feet are possible, but exact commodity and height are unknown, shall meet the following criteria. At a minimum, systems shall be for Class IV commodity, to the maximum available storage height, (allowance for in-rack sprinklers is accepted), with High Temperature Sprinklers at the ceiling. The fire sprinkler design provided does not address this adopted code. Designer shall provide an approved letter from the owner addressing that the commodities and storage use within this facility will be accepted under the limitations of an OH-2 occupancy protection system. It shall be the responsibility of the code official to evaluate all requests for a system layout meeting the requirements for a less hazardous storage configuration. Reference item #7 below (BMC 7-01-56 AMENDMENT ADDING IFC SECTION 903.1.6)
3. Include in the resubmittals, revised calculations that fit the page and do not "word wrap", for clarification and ease of reading. (BMC 7-01-56 AMENDMENT ADDING IFC SECTION 903.1.6)
