Description	To provide a voluntary manual fire alarm system. The manual fire alarm system includes HVAC shutdown, total area detection and notification throughout (the offices for BMC Sales and Metro Movers were defined as less than 3 per space, so there is no notification in four spaces). The FACP is a combination system, the security is already installed, no access control, monitoring only. The fire signals shall have precedence over any security signal, the PDS Fire Inspector shall field verify. 4/28/2005 - Revised design, the FACP only allows smoke detectors to be installed on zones 1 and 2. The plan modification indicates the corrected zones. Note to Inspector: This system shall comply with NFPA 72; 6.8.4.6, "In combination systems, fire alarm signals shall be distinctive, clearly recognizable, and take precedence over any other signal even when a non-fire alarm signal is initiated first. There is no associated building permit.

I spoke to Mike with Action Couriers about getting this inspection completed. He wanted to know if Northwest Security could complete this permit instead of ADT. I let him know that a separate permit would be required if another company completed the work. He was going to follow up with ADT. A follow up conference has been set up.

Question to Dave at ADT regarding the office spaces for BMC (3) and Metro Movers regarding notification. No sprinkler system exists, therefore the IBC occupancy separation would be required and apparently there is only the typical 1 hour demising wall. Dave will notify the owner and let me know the route he would like to take around Thursday or Friday.
