Description	(GE SUPPLY - OFFICE, SALES AREA, STORAGE MEZZANINE) To modify and existing shell fire sprinkler system installed under FIR04-00773, for a 3,100-ft/2 office/wholesale area within an existing 16,655-ft/2 warehouse building. A storage mezzanine will be located above the office area. After the office is constructed, the warehouse will have a floor area of about 12,521-ft/2 inside the building, 3,100-ft/2 on the mezzanine, and 1,000-ft/2 of outside covered storage. The fire sprinkler work is related to, the exterior storage canopy, interior nonbearing walls, interior stairway, 3 restrooms, suspended ceilings and mezzanine. This building is fire sprinklered for fire area and for high-piled storage. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD05-00288.

1. IBC Building review has failed and no IFC fire review has been approved with the building permit to which this fire permit is attached. Resubmit when building IFC review has been completed so a correct IFC fire sprinkler plan review can be accomplished in the High Piled Combustible facility.

2. Designer did not provide expansion chamber information (data submittals).

3. Designer does not address hanger limit/requirements for connection of hangers to TJI's under the mezzanine. Depending on the manufacturer, hanger attachments must meet installation listing which are not addressed in NFPA 13 Chapter 9.

4. Plans are incomplete which do affect the system installation requirements relating to review process meeting minimum code. No construction information, sectional cuts or details provided for the added storage canopy.

NOTE: Other IFC building requirements may be required with High Piled Combustible Storage which will be addressed as soon as the Building Permit has been verified and approved.
