Description	(MIDWEST FLOOR COVERING)(VAN AUKER CLOVERDALE #10 BLDG) To install a complete overhead fire protection (sprinkler) system in a new 26,400-ft/2 shell building with a new tenant to occupy the entire warehouse with a new 1,660-ft/2 accessory office area with a (light) storage mezzanine (above) and a small 144-ft/2 H-3 occupancy flammable liquid storage room. The fire sprinkler work is related to the new shell constructed under BLD03-01306, the new tenant mezzanine with stairway, with two new offices and restrooms, with a breakroom beneath all with suspended ceilings, a new H-3 occupancy flammable liquids storage room along with racking in the warehouse (to be constructed under a separate building permit). This building is fully fire sprinklered. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. The shell building permit was BLD03-01306. Fire underground fire service supply was installed under FIR04-00643. This associated overhead fire sprinkler work permit is attached to building permit: BLD04-02971.

2:50pm, Met with Sam Rogers regarding offsets creating overspacing of 100.2 sf instead of the maximum allowable 100-ft/2 (calcs show 99-ft/2, but pressures and density calc's were for 100 sq ft) spacing (high piled combustible storage-standard heads). Resubmitted calculations have changed and are now flawed. Designer has modified density with actual spacing for each individual head. Fire sprinklers throughout a facility cannot be adjusted to balance the design for the actual spacing/density installed in this fashion since it will create flawed calculation results. This design verification does not meet the requirements of 14.4.4.4.1, starting with the most remote head per 14.4.4.4.5 and following it back. Revise and resubmit.
