1. Calculations are flawed. Meter shown 1" and calculated for a 2". Revise and resubmit. (IFC 105.2, 601.2)

2. Calculations are flawed. Underground supply from meter to system takeoff is shown 1¼" and calculated for a 2". Revise and resubmit. (IFC 105.2, 601.2)

3. Plans are incomplete, since reviewer cannot follow calculations. Provide correct and correlating hydraulic node points on the underground and through the riser that match the calculations provided. (IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

4. Provide and show on the plans a domestic control connected upstream of the fire sprinkler take-off, which shall be included in the calcs for system control. No other domestic shutoff can be installed upstream of this valve. No exceptions allowed for the location. (NFPA 13D-A.6.2[a], A.6.3[a] BMC 7-01-50, IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2, 105.2, IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

5. Plans provided show no terrain elevations. The calcs show a 4'-6" elevation change from the street tap to the top of the backflow? This permit approval is based on a design with the supply entering this facility on a level or downhill terrain. Water supplied uphill will require corrected calculations. Field Fire/Life Safety Inspector shall verify. (, IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

6. No light fixtures or fan location, etc. provided on the plans. These items clearly interfere with correct sprinkler density distribution with residential sprinkler installations. Fire testing has proven the requirement of wetting walls in the area protected by residential sprinklers at a level closer to the ceiling than that accomplished by standard sprinkler distribution. Where beams, light fixtures, sloped ceilings, and other obstructions occur, additional residential sprinklers are necessary to achieve proper response and distribution. In addition, for sloped ceilings, higher flow rates could be needed. Guidance should be obtained from the manufacturer. Reference NFPA 13D-7.5.5.3*. (IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

7. Second floor Utility Room requires head adjustment to wet walls in the area protected by residential sprinkler. Provide coverage on the plans. (NFPA 13D-8.6, IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

8. Provide data submittals for the 1½" Central riser manifold. (IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

9. Provide location of outside alarm indicating device which will be connected to the flow switch. (BMC 903.3.1.3.1, IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)

10. Plan 2 of 2 has the hydraulic summery addressing the wrong floor? Revise and resubmit. (IFC 105.2, 901.2 and BMC 7-01-50-901.2)
