(HURTADO FURNITURE STORE - PLAZA 121 - STE 101) To modify the existing fire sprinkler system for the tenant improvement work and creation of a 6,079-ft/2 retail sales furniture store (3,734-ft/2 1st story and 2,345-ft/2 basement). This space is located on the 1st story and basement (northwest corner) of an existing 6 story building. Fire sprinkler work is related to the removal of all CPVC in the affected area in the basement and installation of steel pipe with new sprinklers from wall furring, gypsum board soffits, suspended ceilings, a new floor opening between the basement and 1st story, a new non-egress stairway, interior nonbearing walls, the basement non-rated corridor extended to the existing enclosed stairway located at the alley. This building is fire sprinklered in lieu of opening protection at the alley, rated corridors, basement enclosure, elevator lobbies, etc. It is also fire sprinklered because it has occupied floors more than 55 feet above the sidewalk and to allow one stairway to egress through a nonrated lobby on the 1st floor. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2000 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
