To provide required automatic smoke detection, total coverage notification and fire alarm system. The required manual fire alarm system includes HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 05-00625) is to remodel 5 existing office & exam room areas and one conference room to create 3 pathologist offices, EKG read / bone marrow room, a relocated conference room and relocate the entrance corridor door to the suite. Work includes remodel of 2 rooms to combine into one for a new pathologist office, relocate the conference room and another pathologist office; add a new 20 minute door assembly from the corridor to the remodeled EKG read / bone marrow room; reconstruct a 2-hour wall at the east end of pathologist office #1, relocate an existing 1-hour fire and smoke barrier wall with new 20 minute door assembly and new tempered sidelight sealed against passage of smoke; and upgrade finishes, millwork, suspended ceiling, electrical, sprinkler & alarm systems, all per approved plans. drs- (ST LUKES-1ST FLR-NORTH WING)(PATHOLOGIST OFFICE)
