To install overhead fire sprinkler protection throughout a new 10,716-ft/2, three story, four unit apartment building. The first floor is 3,806-ft/2 which 2,000-ft/2 is for the garages (protected to Ordinary Group design), the second floor is 3,946-ft/2 and the third floor is 2,964-ft/2 (Light Hazard design). Three units are three bedroom and three and one half baths, one unit is four bedroom and three and one half baths. This building is fire sprinklered per NFPA 13-R. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2000, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work. The underground fire service supply was installed under FIR04-00176. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD04-00947.

B and D third floors are ok to cover. The ceiling has been installed in unit C without a cover inspection for the sprinkler piping. I told the general contractor the ceiling would need to come out for this inspection.

Install two missing DP at garages, provide hangers for two DP in south garage, provide sprinkler coverage under open space below stairs 2nd floor, provide adequate clearance for pipe in metal vent for fireplace 2nd floor, a head is required in the master closet 3rd floor as it exceeds 24 sq. ft., an inspection for insulation installation protection for cold cavity areas is required prior to final cover per note #35, be aware of possible light fixture obstructions in some locations.
