Description	(ST LUKES-WEST WING)(SECOND FLOOR REMODEL-PHASE B) * To remove and replace fire sprinkler protection for the installation of HVAC work in the remodel a 5,250-ft/2 area, located on the south end of the floor for patient rooms, offices, and staff lounge. The reinstallation of fire sprinklers will be installed in coordination with the HVAC installation work and cannot be delayed. This fire sprinkler work is related to new interior non-combustible, fire-resistive walls, three patient rooms, suspended ceiling grid system, lights, mechanical and plumbing work. This building is fully sprinklered and must remain so. The fire protection work shall be in accordance with minimum requirements of IFC-2000, and attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this permit, to provide witness of compliance verification of meeting minimum code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD01-01632.

1. With the current history of SLRMC, (including this associated BLD number and when it was issued [10/4/2001]), a good look at the anticipated time frame after removal of this protection to when this new revised fire sprinkler piping will be re-installed and functional.

2. The SLRMC Fire Prevention Program Superintendent must develop an approved prefire plan in cooperation with the Fire Chief which shall be addressed prior to fire permit release. ( IFC 1408.1, 1408.2, 1408.3, 1408.4)

3. Upon having the above information, obtain approval from the Fire Chief in an approved documented form.
