(ALPINE REAL ESTATE LLP)(ALPINE BLDG-STE 200) To modify and existing shell system for the construction of a 6,322-ft/2 office tenant located on the second floor, in an existing new shell building. The shell & core was permitted under BLD04-02346 and the overhead system was installed under (ongoing) FIR05-00396. The fires sprinkler work is related to the construction of new interior partitions, the installation of suspended ceiling system and related lighting, HVAC ducting and registers. This building is fully fire sprinklered. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD05-01604.

1. Shell system was not verified for 196-ft/2 spacing and this submittal does not verify the same. Either resubmit verification of system meeting area density spacing of 196-ft/2 or drop the sprinkler spacing to 148-ft/2 minimum through this tenant. This will also include the "Small Room Rule." (BMC 7-01-50:901.2, IFC 105.4.2, NFPA 13:4.3)

2. It would appear the Reception and Assist Room heads are blocked by soffits. Reference NFPA 13-Figure 8.6.5.1.29(a) and (b) for clarification and provide proof of meeting these requirements through resubmittals. (BMC 7-01-50:901.2, IFC 105.4.2, NFPA 13:4.3)
