A license agreement with ACHD is required for the encroachment of ducts and equipment into the alley. A license is required from the City Clerk for the 290 square foot sidewalk seating area. The tenant shall contact the City Clerk's office directly for approval. The work shall comply with the approved drawings, the plan review report, and all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. CJW (KOI JAPANESE RESTAURANT - MODE BLDG - 1ST STORY) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance rated construction. FIR05-00834 is associated with building permit BLD05-02886 which is to expand an existing 2,098 square foot restaurant tenant space into an adjacent 1,218 square foot area. After the expansion, this tenant space will have a total floor area of about 3,316 square feet (2,136 square foot seating, 1,153 square foot kitchen/bar, 27 square foot office). This tenant space is located on the 1st story of the "Mode Building". Work within the existing restaurant tenant space was done under permit BLD05-01998. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a retractable partition, and finishes. The work shall comply with the approved drawings, the plan review report, and all applicable codes. Within the remodel area, the fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department.
