(VOLT INFORMATION SCIENCES - STE 703 - RESTROOM UPGRADE - LOBBY REMODEL - US BANK BLDG) This building is fire sprinklered because it is a high-rise. To replace all 133 existing pendant fire sprinklers throughout this permit and the entire remaining floor from standard response to quick response. Also to relocate some existing drops and add 2 quick response SSU's; all for the creation of a 1,559 square foot office tenant space on the 7th story of an existing high rise building (19 total stories). To upgrade the 7th story core restrooms to be accessible to the disabled. To remodel the 7th story elevator lobby. The floor area of the entire 7th story is about 14,600 square feet. The "core" has a floor area of about 2,670 square feet. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, suspended ceilings, interior doors, interior windows, and finishes. The fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, and high-rise life safety systems (and the infrastructure supporting these systems) for the 7th story are required to comply with the provisions of the 2000 IBC. Existing systems shall be upgraded where necessary, including the installation of quick-response fire sprinklers. If not already existing, fire-safing shall be installed at the perimeter of the 7th story between the floor and the spandrel glass. The work shall comply with the approved drawings, the plan review report, and all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. This permit is attached to BLD05-03058.
