No city approved plans on site for inspection. The pendant head in the kitchen still exceeds 10' from the exterior wall. Pendant head in the upper bedroom exceeds 10' from wall. Light and ceiling fans are obstructing pendants in upper and lower bedrooms. Pendant head in den is blocked by arched entry into small connecting foyer (must be atleast 6' away). Need to pipe drain to exterior and provide correct orfice for testing. Underground has not been flushed yet. There may be other items that are addressed on the approved plans but was unable to verify due to missing plans.

Overhead rough-in is acceptable to cover pending corrections as noted on plans including overspaced head at kitchen, overspaced head at 2nd floor hall, install head at master bathroom as indicated, the backflow device installed is not as submitted (provide correct device or verify calcs are the same), tenting at cold cavity areas is satisfactory.

1. Design Test Area #1 (First Level) is flawed. The minimum for Tyco Series "LFII", Res., Concealed, SSP, 4.2 K-factor, TY2596 head is per the manufacturers listing, Table "A", as a function for temperature ratings and maximum allowable coverage area. Revise and resubmit full plans with revised calculations any unclarified plan corrections of t he following Items, (which are not crossed out AND/OR addressed to be verified by Inspector).
2. Plans are incomplete and lack clarity to determine minimum protection requirement (i.e. columns, etc.). It would appear that the "Bonus Room" is constructed over the "Garage"? If this is correct, and it actually is; then the garage separation from living space requirement is lacking, since the garage protection does not extend to all (ceiling) exposures of the "Bonus Room" living space and plan corrections by resubmittal are required. (Subdivision Plat Requirements, BMC 7-01-50, IFC 901.2)
3. Plan is incomplete. Second level bathroom between Bedrooms #2 and #3, plans does not show minimum separation requirements addressed in 4.1.2. If not separated, then fire sprinkler protection will be required. Clarify with detailed construction separation/protection and resubmit.
4. Shower area of the master bath is part of the bathroom and will require fire sprinkler protection coverage. Revise and resubmit. (NFPA 13D-4.1.2)
5. Kitchen appears to have a pantry located in the south corner? If this is the case, it is not exempt and will require fire sprinkler protection. Clarify, revise and resubmit.
6. Riser detail is incorrect. Relocate the domestic control and install it upstream of the fire sprinkler take-off (no exceptions), which should have been included in the calcs. The backflow valves shall require minimum monitoring per 7.1.2.3[a]. Revise and resubmit. BMC 7-01-50, IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2).
7. Riser is addressed as having exposed CPVC. Exposed risers shall meet minimum requirement for the pipe listing addressed for "System Risers in NFPA 13D Applications:"
a. The residential pendant head located within 12" of the riser.
b. The Riser needs supported within 2'-0" of the ceiling.
c. Vertical lines shall be supported at intervals described in #7 thru 10 of the manufacturer's installation requirements.
d. Maximum distance from the wall/s and the outside surface of the riser pipe shall be 1½".
e. Listed CPVC solvent cement shall be used.
f. Supports of riser shall be per section 9.2.5 of NFPA 13-2002 edition.
Correct, revise and resubmit.
