The hydraulic calculations were provided to prove a maximum 225-ft/2 spacing and that two pendant heads piped from the same 1” outlet. The problems found this submittal is that the two heads off of 1” outlet have been proven off 1½” branchline piping and nothing for 1¼" (reference copy and storage room 115 & 116)? Also the calcs for the lines feeding two heads off 1" are on the 1" outlet flowing through separate 1" armover piping? A node should have been added off the armover tee, so both heads are actually flowing though the same 1" armover pipe!
System layout/design does not meet minimum code. Fire sprinkler protection requires the wetting of all walls. Provide corrected plans meeting minimum fire protection requirements. (BMC 7-01-50:901.2, IFC 105.4.2, 106, 107.2.2, 901.6, 903.3.3)
There are areas where existing and new heads are installed which do not meet the minimum 6'-0" spacing distance between standard spray sprinklers. (NFPA 13:8.5.3.4, 8.6.3.4.1)
