(REILLY'S CHURCH SUPPLY - VISTA VILLAGE) This building is partially fire sprinklered. There is a fire permit for Demolition Permit under FIR06-00010 issued to the same contractor, attached to the same building permit which has not been inspected to date. This permit is for the remodel an existing 6,555-ft/2 tenant space (3,284-ft/2 1st story and 3,271-ft/2 basement) for a new retail sales tenant. The fire sprinkler work is for the installation of sprinkler protection on the first floor, modifications of the existing system related to the New Stairwell located in the southwest basement, constructed to the first floor, the replacement of existing uprights in the basement, the modification of interior nonbearing walls in the basement, the adding of protection for the infill area where the demolition of existing stairs and sprinklers was permitted. Future canopy remodel and fire sprinkler installation will be done under BLD04-02464. This fire sprinkler work is required to comply with the approved drawings, the plan review report, and all applicable codes. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD05-03176.

Re-Submittals Of The Following Items Are Required:
1. The design head layout and actual head gpm/pressure verified in the calculations, does not meet OH-2 density requirements. Revise calculations matching the layout design and resubmit meeting requirements of NFPA 13-14.4. (Boise Municipal Code 7-01-50 IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2)

2. For all systems the design area shall be the hydraulically most demanding based on the criteria of NFPA Chapter 11, Chapter 12, or the special design approaches in accordance with the requirements of NFPA Chapter 13. For gridded systems, the designer shall verify that the hydraulically most demanding area is being used. A minimum of two additional sets of calculations shall be submitted to demonstrate peaking of demand area friction loss when compared to areas immediately adjacent on either side along the same branch lines, unless the requirements of 14.4.4.2.3 are met. Computer programs that show the peaking of the demand area friction loss shall be acceptable based on a single set of calculations. Provide verification through resubmittals the designer has meet these requirements. (NFPA 13-14.4.4.1, 14.4.4.2.1, 14.4.4.2.2, 14.4.4.2.3)

3. "Sprinkler Symbol Description" does not include up-and-downs on armovers depicted on the plan? Provide correct and complete plan clarification and resubmit. Include information on the basement sprinklers as to if these heads are being replaced? (Boise Municipal Code 7-01-50 IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2)

4. Provide clarification with detail/s that includes seismic bracing of the new main (in the basement), the penetration through the floor, the type of floor penetrating, clearance, and its support. (Boise Municipal Code 7-01-50 IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2)

5. Verification of backflow forward flow test will be required. The systems largest demand must be verified through the same. This notice is to address that the system riser may require modifications to accomplish this code requirement prior to permit acceptance. (NFPA 13-8.16.4.6.1*)
