This underground fire service is for the fire sprinkler water supply in a new 17,850-ft/2, one story masonry exterior walls, wood roof truss system, retail shell building. This building will be fully fire sprinklered. The sprinklers are used for allowable area increase. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. 1. Fire Hydrant Supply Connections. It shall be prohibited for underground water supply lines with a single point of connection to supply both fire hydrants and fire suppression systems. Looped supply lines that are supplied from two points of connection shall be allowed for hydrants and fire suppression system supplies. Provide approved plans that show meeting this requirements.
