COMET CLEANERS * To install the underground supply and overhead Ordinary Group 1 wet pipe fire sprinkler system for a 3,100-ft/2 tenant in a V-B strip mall referenced as Pennsylvania Station. Fire sprinkler work shall be per plans (which may include red-lined notes), attached plan review conditions/comments, IFC 2003, NFPA 13-2002 and 72, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is not attached to any other permit.

Corrections Required:
1. An exterior indicating control valve meeting minimum 13-8.1.2, 24-2.2.6, 6.3.1, 6.3.3.2 requirements, shall be provided for this facility. If this is not provided, then a 1 (one) hour fire rated construction sprinkler control room must be provided with an approved outside clear door access. All control valves on fire sprinkler systems must be unobstructed, immediately discernible and accessible. The control handles must be installed between two (2'-0") and five (5'-0") feet above finished grade. Post indicators shall be set so that the top of the post will be 36" above the final grade. (NFPA 13-8.15.1.3, IFC 102.7)

2. Designer submitted a Sammy® (Speedy Products) sheet addressing connections to TJI's. Plans do not reference any TJI's in the building? Connection to TJI's must meet the manufacturer's installation of the same which are limited as to hanger connections AND the pipe size supporting. Connections for seismic requirements are also reference in the manufacturer's installation guides. Designer shall provide correct clarification and details of the TJI's, the hanger connections and seismic attachments incorporating, which meet the manufacturer's requirements, on the plans. 3. Provide correct dimensioning or and approved scale of the riser from the floor. (BMC 7-01-50 IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2)

4. It is assumed that all inside wall penetrations are through "frangible" walls. If not, then corrections addressing the wall locations and minimum penetration/flexible requirements shall be included on the plans. (NFPA 13-9.3.2*, 9.3.3*, A.9.3.3, A.9.3.2, 14.1.3 (21)

5. Designer must show type and location of all required, not required joints (flexible & ridgid) and fitting on the mains and lines. (BMC 7-01-50 IFC 901.2, IFC 105.4.2, NFPA 13-14.1.3 [21])

6. Provide size of city main in the street and whether it is dead-end or circulating. (NFPA 13-14.1.3 (10)
