KBS BURRITOS - BODO BLDG #8 - 1ST STORY * This building is fire sprinklered because it is a high-rise. To add 15 Q.R., SSP's (1 dry pendant), replace and relocate 16 SSP's with Q.R. heads for the creation of an 1,981-ft/2 restaurant tenant space (746-ft/2 dining, 680-ft/2 kitchen; 184-ft/2 office, 371-ft/2 restrooms, hallways, and vestibule), located on the first story of an 11 story high rise building. Fire sprinkler work is related to the installation of interior nonbearing walls, a Type 1 (grease) Hood and duct w/2-hr shaft and suspended gypsum board ceilings. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD05-03270.

Corrections/Verifications Required
1. Viking VK180, VK300, VK302, VK305, VK404, VK606, Tyco TY5332, sprinklers are not listed for pressures in excess of 175 psi. This tenant shall be fitted with approve SSU fire sprinklers that meet the shell systems current performance pressure performance design available with IFC Fire/Life Safety Inspector verifying by submittals and installation matching the same. (NFPA 13-6.13)

2. All pipe and fittings incorporating in this tenant shall also be required to meet the 13-6.1.3 and 6.4.4. Data submittals shall also be required to the IFC Fire/Life Safety Inspector matching the existing and new modification addressed under this permit.

3. This facility has a fire pump and maximum static or flowing pressure exceeds 100 psi. Branch line above a ceiling supplying pendent sprinklers below the ceiling shall have hanger assemblies on all ends or offset sprinkler, to prevent upward movement of the pipe. (NFPA 13-9.2.3.4.3.1)

4. Occupancy is not permitted until FIR05-00425 incorporating the High Rise fire protection, which includes the secondary water supply, has been finaled.
