Fire sprinkler work is related to the remodel of the basement and first floor, involving selective wall demolition and construction of interior partitions, installation of new type one hood system, installation of new lighting system. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. Noted several issues including overspaced head, blocked coverage by ductwork in several locations, incorrect temp ratings at the kitchen hood area, missing ssp in the mech. closet, one head with bent deflector needs to be replaced, min. spacing between heads is exceeded at one location. Inspection concluded at the first floor due to number of defficiencies, no inspection done for the basement area at this time.
