CSC HOMES LLC * To install a (modified) life safety NFPA 13D system in a two story 3,949-ft/2 single family dwelling (1,978-ft/2 first floor, 1545-ft/2 second floor, 426-ft/2 Bonus room), with an attached 884-ft/2 three car garage. The modification is the installation of a single row of sprinklers along the common wall attached to the garage and the living space. System shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device and an outside alarm. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes dual use, single service water supply, the system backflow prevention device (provided by others), shall be per NFPA 13D, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. This inspection/conference was requested by Shilo Automatic Sprinkler. I was told the the meeting would be attended by Shilo, the builder and myself. Upon arrival I was notified by Shilo that the building had other items to attend to and would not make it. The issue at hand is this house is nearly complete. It appears all that is missing is paint, carpet and most importantly a fire sprinkler system. Per the sprinkler contractor the builder does not want to remove any ceiling to facilitate the installation of the missing sprinkler system. I left a correction notice referring to Item #41 of the sprinkler review comments which states the pipe shall be exposed for inspection. Sam Rogers was notified by phone of the situation.
