PLAZA MIXED USED - To install approximately 115 feet of 6" C-900 PVC connected to an existing 8" water service supply main in 13th St., running east on the North side of West Grand Ave to a location near the Southeast corner and into the proposed 42 unit, 61,812-ft/2 5 story wood framed apartment building. This underground supply will provide a full NFPA 13 fire sprinkler system per Boise City Ordinance. This permitted work is associated with Section 2 of 2 portion of the building which contains 17 units, and is 25,764-ft/2. A two hour fire wall (also used as a horizontal exit) will be constructed to divide this facility into two separate buildings being constructed above a Type I-A parking garage, per City Ordinance 4-16. This permit is attached to BLD05-02750. The section 1 of 2 is associated with BLD05-02204 for the other side of the fire wall. Refer to BLD05-00926 for the parking garage. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code.

Re-Submittals Of The Following Items Are Required:
1. Plan is incomplete and/or unreadable. Information is lacking and clarified, (correct) dimensioned plan/s is required. Information shall be all encompassing with enough detail to clarify the full scope of the work involved with the permit requested. "U.G. Permit" needs clarified in order to address minimum installation code.
a. Provide clarification of all piping installing, how all is entering/leaving the facility which shall include but may not be limited too:
1. Elevations,
2. Thrust protection,
3. Clearance,
4. Type and size of all pipe installing,
5. Identify all fittings, valves, transition, etc.
6. Clarified location of P.I.V.
7. Elevation of P.I.V addressing limit required per NFPA 13.
8. Provide elevation of F.D.C. addressing limits allowed per the IFC and NFPA 13 and 14.

2. Provide clarification of symbols, (differentiate between a hydrant and fire department connections).

3. Provide data submittals on the FDC. Address whether the FDC is a combination FDC/Standpipe, and include the correct identification of the same incorporating on the plan.

4. Provide clarification that hydrant/s are not connected to the fire sprinkler service supply line installing, meeting requirements of the BMC-IFC.

5. Include depth of bury of all pipe installing, measured from the top to finish grade.

6. This facility will most likely require a standpipe required during construction. Will the FDC installing be connected to the standpipe required under IFC 1413? If so, address this on the plans.
NOTE: Temporary standpipes in buildings being constructed will require prior permit approval before installation or any work for the same.
