5/15/2006 - Current re-submittal problems.
In the resubmittal site plan, the pipe from the street to the meter is not sized or typed?
2. The calcs do not include this pipe. Can you explain why?
3. Why does the 2nd floor perform better than the 1st floor, when the piping is all the same and it is 18'-0" higher from "F"? I could not see any pressure elevation losses for either after getting into the house at "FF"? In fact, I see none for the 2nd remote test, from the tap in the street, (which means the "Sprinkler Head Analysis" reports are incorrect and/or do not correlate with the calculations provided)?
4. The plan lacks the size of the meter (which is 1" in the calcs). This information should be on the plans since they both should correlate for easy plan review and (Inspector) site verification. (I will manually correct this information on the 5 sets provided this once).
5. On the riser, do you have a control valve upstream of the domestic and fire sprinkler take-off identified (which is required)? If on is provided, locate it and include in the calculations.
6. NFPA 13D references calculation procedures incorporated in NFPA 13 which includes addressing the friction loss of the 1-1/4" flow switch. Please include that switch in the calculations as required in NFPA 13-14.4.4.5[1].
