Description
This revision was submitted as a result of an alteration of the piping layout from the approved set of plans. The piping was changed due to blocked coverage at the structure of the canopy. The upper heads are now supplied from a lower feed main.
Add protection in the unused attic space and combustible canopy through out the store front of the bldg.
The existing piping will serve and supply the new heads. The existing Glycol systems shall be maintained at 60% solution as noted. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD06-01173.

Sprinkler piping rough-in inspection for the most part passed. There are two locations where there are issues. The first is in area #2 on the roof where the plans show the piping to be 2" but 1 1/2" is installed. The second problem is also in area #2 where the piping is supplied from the lower level. The plans indicate a single tie in to a 2" branchline but as installed the piping has two tie in points for a rudimentary loop. This will require a resubmittal for plan review to verify the calculations.
