Description |
Only the basement of this building is fire sprinklered. To renovate an existing 2 story with basement building (8,405 square foot basement, 8,622 square foot 1st story, 8,718 square foot 2nd story) and to create two office tenant spaces (939 square feet and 2,688 square feet) on the 1st story. Work is to include 6 restrooms accessible to the disabled, an elevator shaft and elevator, a tunneled 1-hr corridor on the 1st story, 45 minute windows in the wall parallel to the alley, new guard and handrails at the exterior stairway to the basement, an EIFS at the elevator shaft, and suspended ceilings. This permit is NOT intended to establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any tenant. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system in the basement shall be maintained in compliance with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. Viking Fire Protection too modify the overhead sprinkling system located in the basement.
