Underground piping is ok to cover
Telephone call  1/24/2007 DONE
Telcon from "Mick" of Western Fire Protection-regarding the lack of prescribed depth of bury of a section of UG. He proposed two alt's: covering pipe with foam and putting a speed bump over the trench, instead of adding 4 el's to drop the pipe/trench depth to prescribed depth. I indicated we would consider either of his proposed alt's if the design were prepared and stamped, with supporting calc's showing the alt design would have the equivalent insulating value as the prescribed method. He will investigate the 3 options further before making a decision.

Pipe sizes as shown on the plans, in the locations marked, do not match the piping as installed. Pipe needs to be changed or these changes need to be proven with revised hydraulic calculations when the as-builts are resubmitted as per the review comments. There are other deficiencies also marked on the plans. Piping is not to be covered.
