A, B, C & D) The under ground supply will be controlled from a Post indicating valve. Building D is protected through out above and below the ceiling. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. Revised Scope of Work: Overhead Only
Add sprinkler coverage at the dormer overbuilds in the attics of bldg. C & D. Add sprinkler coverage above the kitchen area in bldg. B. A total of 33 new heads were added as a result of these changes. All four of the structures are to be protected through out. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief

Todays inspection covered the modified sprinkler heads in "A" wing 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors. They all look good except for one head was missed in the southwest third floor stairwell ceiling and in the common electrical room that is on all floors.

I inspected the second floor wings D, C and B. As with the previous inspection many pendants are blocked and the electrical room is missing coverage. I stopped the inspection until all of blocked heads have been fixed.

The remaining 3rd floor areas were inspected. The same obstructions as noted yesterday occur in the other third floor areas. There was no access into room 397. A canopy was missing from the bathroom pendant in room 374 and no sprinkler coverage was provided in the corridor electrical closet on the third floor C wing. The items from the previous correction notice still need addressed.

The final inspecton for the third floor of A wing was started today. I found that instead of viking pendants being installed reliable pendants had been installed. Also many of the light fixtures are blocking the pendant heads in the laundry/utility romms and in the main corridor.

I inspected Bldg. D attic piping today. There were a few problems with bracing, the problems were corrected by the end of the inspection. I also witnessed the hydro test for the attic piping and second floor of the same bldg. The hydro went fine.

The first floor of area "D" is ok to cover except for the areas where the attic system needs to be installed. Per the general contractor there are support issues with the light weight trusses that are being worked out with the structural engineer.

The second floor of C wing will be ok to cover when the insulation is installed between the walls and the drop downs to the dry sidewalls. Also one pendant is overspaced as marked on the plans. C wing attic dry system 200 lb hydro test passed.
