The fire sprinkler scope of work includes the demo of the existing electric fire pipe as it will be replaced with a new diesel fire pump rated 2500 gpm @ 110 psi. The existing 2 ½” branch lines will also be remove and replaced with 3” branch lines. The existing heads with in the affected areas will also be removed and replaced with ESFR heads. In addition four existing rack system supply risers and associated piping will be removed as per plan. This building is fully fire sprinkled any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department. The partition walls separate the areas into spaces that are less than 50,000 sq ft so that smoke and heat vents are not required. Fire sprinkler work is related to selective demolition, construction of new non-combustible interior partitions, & the installation of new suspended ceiling system per plans, attached plan review conditions, regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
