Inspection at Medical Unit Addition Verifying Correction Items;
1. A Duct Detector found improperly mounted in a previous inspection "Waiting Area" was changed to an In-Duct Detector. The new in-duct detector works correctly. Holes need to be patched in the duct work where old duct detector was removed.
2. The Smoke Control Sequence has changed significantly from the original proposed design. Provide a new sequence of operation and all necessary control functions and damper status at the Central Control Room FACP used as the Smoke Control Panel.

The strobes now shutdown with the horns but the smoke control system still has issues. One duct smoke detector was found to be mounted incorrectly and is in the process of being fixed.

Witness Smoke Control acceptance by 3rd party engineer Jerry O'Neal, could not get desired differentials between smoke zone and corridor, while I was there. Also damper & position indication was not functional at the central control room. One duct detector needs to be relocated for proper operation.
