This fire alarm permit is to install audible-visual notification and HVAC monitoring in a new 1st time commercial tenant space within the OW Smith Building. Building Permit BLD06-03634 is to construct a retail sales gallery tenant space on the first story and basement of the Smith/Grey building. The entire tenant space will have a floor area of about 5,702 square feet (2,700 square foot 1st story retail, 917 square foot 1st story work area, 802 square foot 1st story office/restroom/break room, and 1,283 square foot basement storage). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, suspended ceilings, a new recessed entry, a new interior stairway, and finishes. The basement stairways, elevator, wheelchair platform lift, and back stairway were constructed under the shell permit (BLD06-00845). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
