Description	This fire alarm permit is to modify an existing fire alarm system within selected rooms and areas of the school building. Work will include removing wall mounted notification appliances and reinstalling ceiling mount notification appliances and add duct smoke detectors to new rooftop air handling units. telcon from JAckie Phelps, CM re expediting insepctions to meet opeing date of 8/22. I indicated we are now able to assist with additional inspectors on some occassions if they give us some notice to plan. In this case, they are only at rough in stage and sprinkler contractor called for inspection without approved plans reflecting their field modifications; those plans were resubmitted the day after the rough-in. We cannot do patial or limited area inspections unless they have approved plans on which we can annotate the areas inspected. The most important action she can take is to ensure contractors do not call for inspections unless they have approved plans for what they installed or they have followed the published procedures for Field Approval of plan modifications.
