The Permitted Work Scope:
The fire sprinkler scope of work includes relocating and adding heads to complete coverage as required accommodating a new ceiling layout. The work also includes changing out all of the existing heads to quick response. A new anti-freeze loop will be added to protect the exterior entry way. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. This permit is attached to BLD07-00913.
When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area. The affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The “Riser” and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.08/30/07 Revised Permitted Work Scope:
This 2nd review is the result of an IFC Life Safety field inspectors request due to changes made in the field. The piping and head layout changes made do not appear to adversely affect the operation of the sprinkler system as it was designed. Revision notes dated 08/21/07 would apply.
