This fire alarm permit is to add one new smoke detector and one new horn strobe from an existing fire alarm SLC circuit and notification circuit due to a newly created vestibule with the addition of an interior door. Building Permit BLD07-01266 is to perform selective demolition to prepare for installation of (2) 3'-0" x 8'-0" double exit doors to create a vestibule at the existing entry/exit of 1L N Service building. Accessible clearance of 48" or greater is to be maintained between the edge of the new doors when opened 90 degrees, to the face of the existing doors when closed for accessibility compliance. Work includes relocation of card swipe access, intercom, light fixture and exit sign per plans. To install new smoke detector, horn/strobe, transfer duct and unit heater & piping for new vestibule. Doors shall be operable from the egress sides at all times without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. drs
