Scope of Work:
Run 36'-0" of new 6" C-9000 from the property line out and up into the existing structure. Scope of Work:
Beginning from an existing underground stub in located in the basement, build a 4” riser & manifold to serve through out this existing two story structure. Fire sprinklers will be added on each level including the basement. Each level of sprinkler protection will be controlled separately from the riser. This buildings use is mixed, the second floor is of residential use, the Basement and First floor is of retail use. The underground supply will be controlled from a post indicator valve located at the property line. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD05-00128 & Underground permit FIR07-00315.
The supply will be controlled from a PIV located at the street. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD05-00128

See inspection notes per site visit by T. Frost -Ok to cover. However, there is inadequate coverage under the outside canopy on both levels. I advised the fitter that due to the limited water supply it may be inadvisable to cover the piping until a new plan was designed for protection of the outside canopies. The pipe size may be inadequate to supply all of the sidewall sprinklers.
