The Permitted Work Scope:
This scope is limited to adding new branch-lines and quick response heads through out the class rooms and hallways to meet code requirements. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. telcon with J. Phelps and case review relative to further field modifications not reflected on plans at rough-in inspection. TC requesting CAD drawings to complete inspection later this afternoon (office review not required). Jackie is asking for "red-lined" annotations to be accepted if plans not completed in time the inspection this afternoon. They are expecting Shiloh to have new plas by this afternoon; we will wait for Shiloh's response before any further decision is made today.

Confirming our telcon this afternoon, the Sprinkler plans are approved and ready to pick up. As soon as they are picked up, the permit status will change to ISSUED, which will allow you to schedule the sprinkler inspection for tomorrow.
Dave Hanneman is agreeable to the terms and conditions of your written request for occupancy of the TI space with the exception of the music room and locker rooms, in which two rooms the emergency lighting will not be completed. As per your letter, item 4, you agreed to not allow any student or faculty access to these two areas until the lighting upgrades are done and satisfactorily inspected and signed off.
Please remember this PARTIAL approval is only for Fire and is conditioned upon satisfactory fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire/life safety inspections being satisfactorily completed prior to occupancy. If any other Division work is not completed and Finaled, you will also need their approval for Early Occupancy. Call me on my cell, if you have any questions or further issues.

Telocn from Jackie Phelphs, CM, regarding resubmittal of "as built" plans. She discovered the as-builts submitted 8/3 still don't reflect the installed conditions and she advised Shilo to replace the sheets submitted on 8/3. She wants to keep the plans in their same sequence. Advised her they have to bring resubmittals to our office for logging purposes; they cannot drop them off at our plan reviewer's home.

telcon from Jackie Phelps, CM Co re how to plan inspections to meet 8/22/opeining date. Reviewed history of this permit. Roughin inspection was scheduled on 8/1 without approved plans for field modifications and did not follow our Field Approval guidlelines. Revised plans were not resubmitted until 8/2; estimate 5-working day turnaround on resubmittals. We will assist with additional inspection support if we have some advance notice to plan, but we only will commit additional resources when the contractor is ready and has approved plans on site at the time of the inspection.

Mike wanted the piping above the soffit to be inspected but I found that the 2 1/2" piping on the plan is actually 3" piping in the field. Also it appears the piping running back to the riser may be a different size. Also per the fire sprinkler contractor alot of heads have added and as-builts have been submitted but this main size issue has not been reflected on the as-built plans.

CM company called to corroborate Shiloh fire protections claim that plan modifications had been delivered to the PDS on Jan 19th. According to the permit activity, no plan modifications have been recieved by PDS from Shiloh for Bishop Kelly high school.
