This fire alarm permit is to install a new fire alarm system for sprinkler monitoring, audible visual notification, HVAC monitoring and elevator recall and shutdown in an existing building new shell permit. Building Permit BLD06-00500 is to renovate an existing 2 story with basement building (2,632 square foot basement, 4,133 square foot 1st story, 670 square foot 1st story mezzanine, 4,133 square foot 2nd story) in anticipation of future restaurant, restaurant kitchen, office, and storage uses. Work is to include interior stairways; two 1-hr stairway shafts to serve the basement; 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled; an elevator to serve the 2nd story; a 1-hr elevator shaft; a 1-hr elevator machine room; interior nonbearing walls; exterior concrete steps, landings, and ramps; new roof insulation on top of the roof sheathing; new single ply roof membrane; new fixed awnings; and a seismic upgrade. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes.
