Description
This fire alarm permit is to install a NAC power booster panel and audible visual notification in a new tenant space that occupies part of the first and second floor in the Video Eye Building. Seven new duct detectors are to be added and will be monitored by the existing fire alarm system. Building permit BLD07-01452 is to construct a 10,292 square foot office tenant space (5,392 square feet in Suite 160 located on the 1st story and 4,900 square feet in Suite 260 located on the 2nd story) within an existing 40,000 square foot, 2 story building (about 20,000 square feet each story). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, interior windows, suspended ceilings, a gas fire place, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**

The four access controled egress doors are not shown on the fire alarm plans. Per mike these can be shown on an as-built. The fire alarm contractor needs to provide updated asbuilts and test the doors and the a/v's.

Only three of the seven new duct smoke detectors were tested. All three were missing the foam filter on the sample tube and one was also missing the donut on the back side of the detector. All three units did shut down as required. The supervision of the new nac panel by the facp was tested and passed. The remaining duct smoke detectors need to be tested and the a/v's tested. The inspection was stopped due to the missing items and time constraints.
