This fire alarm permit is to install a new duct smoke detector and monitor two new cooking hood systems with an existing fire sprinkler monitoring panel in the vista village phase II. Building Permit BLD07-00494 is to create a 1,913 square foot restaurant within an 8,260 square foot, one story building. This tenant space is located within a new addition constructed under permit BLD04-02464. Work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, 2 grease hoods and ducts, interior nonbearing walls, suspended ceilings, and finishes. In addition, an existing wall will be fully upgraded to comply as a 3-hr fire wall. Work is to include altering an existing masonry wall to comply as a 3-hr fire-resistance-rated wall assembly, protecting openings in the fire wall with fire assemblies having a 3-hr fire protection rating, constructing a 3-hr fire-resistance-rated gypsum board wall assembly through the concealed area of an existing canopy, and ensuring a 1-hr fire-resistance-rating for the exterior wall behind and below the canopy for a distance not less than the depth of the canopy on both sides of the fire wall. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes.
