The modifications included field changes during construction to accommodate a new wall and ceiling layout on the 7th level. A new layout of the anti-freeze system in the attic space also resulted from these changes. The contractor has also submitted hydraulic calculations based on the 7th floor and the standpipe alone. Note: In the future while submitting plans for review, only a complete set of plans and supporting documents will be considered for review.

Scope of Work: (THE JEFFERSON BUILDING RESIDENTIAL UNITS) To construct a new 44,487 sq.ft., 5 story, type III-A, 40 unit residential/condominium building, located above a three hour horizontal fire assembly per Section 508.2 with an approved alternate letter dated 9/27/2006, to allow for three residential units to be located on the first floor, for a total of 43 units. This permit includes the interior tenant improvements for the 3 residential units and the parking garage which are located below the three-hour horizontal fire assembly in the type I-A portion of this building. NOTE: This building is required to be fire sprinklered per NFPA 13 and is used for story increase. Refer to BLD06-01450 for the construction of the type I-A parking garage. All construction shall be per the approved plans and attached comment list. (12 units are less than 800 sq.ft./31 units are greater than 800 sq.ft.) MJP DRH 05-00396 CUP 05-00150 Under this permit, install a complete fire sprinkler system through out the 5 story residential structure. (level 3 – 7 and attic space).
Under this FIR permit, install a complete fire sprinkler system through out the residential / condominium levels 3 through 7 and the attic. The 7th floor and attic space will be served from a anti freeze system supply located on the 7th floor. Levels 3 through 6 will be served from a Combination Wet standpipe and supply riser. Each level will be controlled separately. Each unit exterior Balcony shall be protected per plans submitted. The system supply will include a 750 gpm electric pump rated @ 100 psi. All fire sprinkler, fire pump and standpipe work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief.

The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This fire permit is attached to building permit: BLD06-01451, FIR07-01042 is also attached. This is a shell and core permit only. Separate tenant improvement permits are required to finish this building for occupancy.
