Work Scope:
(BONEFISH GRILL - EXTERIOR TERRACE - 9TH STREET WAREHOUSES) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance rated construction. To construct a 313 square foot uncovered exterior terrace for restaurant seating. The terrace will be an expansion of a restaurant/bar tenant done under permit BLD07-02809. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete piers, steel columns, steel beams, a concrete slab on a steel deck, guards, exterior doors and sidelights, brick veneer, steel stud ceiling framing, and stucco. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, with the structural calculations and design, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department
The Fire Sprinkler scope consists extending a 2” wet supply from an existing Grid system out and through a new anti freeze loop with a reduced pressure back flow device to feed two new branchlines and 4 down heads located in a new ceiling layout with in the two new exterior TI spaces. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2006, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD07-03089.
When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area due to the installation of tenant-demising or new partition walls, the affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The “Riser” and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
