Perform selective interior demolition to facilitate seismic upgrades anchoring the 1st wood structure floor system to the existing unreinforced masonry walls and to reconfigure existing information technologies area by constructing an interior non-bearing wall to reduce information technologies space and create future space for CAD/CAM classroom space. Work includes removal of existing suspended ceiling grid system, select interior demolition of a 4 foot wide perimeter section of existing ceiling finish at bottom of floor joists to prepare for installation of seismic upgrade connections from the floor joists to the perimeter masonry walls; patch and repair at bottom & top of floor joists where disturbed by demolition and installation of new anchor system; upgrade electrical, mechanical, sprinkler and alarm systems as required; new suspended ceiling grid system. All per reviewed plans and attached engineering. NOTE: This building is fully sprinklered for substitution of 1-hour fire-resistive construction. The fire alarm scope of work is to add horn/strobes and smoke detectors and the remodel/relocation of several smokes detectors and on pull station.
