Description	Scope of Work: UG Only - Shilo scope will begin from a 6” tap off an existing 12” circulating loop main UG / Gate valve (by United Water) located @ the property line off of N. Bird Street. From the gate valve, run 178 lf. of 6” C900 out and rise up into the riser room of a new 10,220-ft/2 single story addition with 6” DI class 50. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2007, NFPA 24-2007 the IFC-2006, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire “Inspection Card” are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD08-00399. The overhead will be submitted under a separate permit.

I stopped by the job site at 7:30 this morning and found that the underground supply line had been buried even after I had told the general contractor not too. I told him that the piping will need to be uncovered and reburied at the correct depth. I also called Randy with Shilo and let him know that the piping can not remain at the current depth and that it will need to be corrected. I had also left a message on his cell phone late friday afternoon after speaking with Sam Rogers.

There were no approved plans on site. I went ahead and looked at what was in the trench and found 6" C900 pipe. The piping starts out at 4'-1" at the connection (sidewalk) and drops to 4'-3" below the wood on the side of the building at the thrust block/stub-in at the building. Actual grade is not known but I would assume it would be below the wood siding of the building which would make the pipe higher than the 4'3" as meaured at the thrust block. I notified Stan of what I had found by phone since he was not on site.
