Spoke with Andy and asked him to provide a new riser and floorplan layout clouding the new devices. The current plans have several initiating devices clouded, but not all of them pertain to this permit scope. In addition, the permit app. gives a PE as the designer, therefore I asked Andy for a letter from the Engineer per Boise City Policy. Andy stated that he thought the 'designer' needed to be the original engineer. I clarified that the engineer is only to be listed as the 'designer' if he/she signs off on them that the drawings did not change for the original bid documents. If someone changed the engineer's design, then that person must be NICET certified or factory trained, and that it is that person that must be listed as the 'designer' on the permit app. He said he would get the information to me within a day or two.
