Recieved fax of additional information requested. Notification is inadequate for current codes, however originally installed in 1994 when codes were not as closely watched by city of Boise. Discussed with Sam and we agreed that to relocate an existing device, it still meets the original design intent and will be allowed regardless of the fact that it does not necessarily meed current code requirements. It can fall under the work area design aproach where as long as audibility is met, the visual notification is okay as is.

Called John Lopez to let him know that the design he submitted would be allowed as long as no changes to the system are made. He confirmed that the only change is the relocation of an existing horn/strobe.

Spoke with John L. regarding the existing notification device. Explained that I need to see all the existing devices to verify relocating one will not impact the rest of the coverage. I agreed to hold off on denying the plans until Monday when he will get me the information I need.
