11/1/11 PLAN MODIFICATION (16 initiating devices affected): This plan modification is to include the notification and initiating devices for building #1 and building #4 mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and exit corridors/pathways per the agreement attached to BLD06-02322 and BLD06-02324.
6/21/11:This fire alarm permit is to provide a full manual and automatic fire alarm system that includes elevator recall, notification, duct detector monitoring, and sprinkler system monitoring. NOTE: Individual units (other than audibility) will be done under separate permits associated with individual occupancy permits.
Associated building permit: BLD06-02323 (CRESCENT RIM BUILDINGS #2 & #3 - RESIDENTIAL UNITS) To construct a new 115,017 sq. ft., four story, 41 dwelling units, residential condominium building with 2 guest suites (without kitchens), located above an enclosed basement parking garage. The first floor area is 31,807 sq.ft., includes the 2 guest suites, 3 multi-purpose rooms, a residential style common area kitchen, common area storage rooms, a pool equipment room, covered guest parking area and 8 dwelling units. The second floor is 31,689 sq.ft., and is divided between 14 dwelling units. The third floor is 26,233 sq.ft. and is divided between 10 dwelling units. The fourth floor is 25,288 sq.ft. and is divided between 9 dwelling units. The 2 guest suites are less than 800 sq.ft., the remaining units in Bldg 2 & 3, each of which exceed 800 sq.ft. of floor area. Note: The installation of a NFPA 13 fire sprinkler system is required throughout this building and is used for area increase. All construction shall be per the approved plans and attached comment lists. DEFERRED SUBMITTALS AFTER PERMIT ISSUANCE REQUIRED BY STRUCTURAL ENGINEER AND FIRE. I explained that since the permit has been finaled, and per records they've been taken to records for scanning, that he would need to contact Records and follow their procedure for getting copies of documents. Spoke to Rob Ahten with Protex. He stated that he may be re-submitting the rejected plans soon and wanted to know if the policy regarding review fees would fall under the current requirements or the original requirements. The review fee policy at the time of the original permit were that the fire alarm review fees were incorporated into the building permit fees for new buildings and structures. I let him know that we would uphold that original policy since the building permit had not been expired and is still in the issued status.
