SPR-UG Only -The scope will begin from the existing 6” UG stub in from a 12” main off of N. Cloverdale Road. From there run 215’ of new 6” C900 out then rise up into the riser room of the 37,512-ft/2 three story structure. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2007, NFPA 24-2007 the IFC-2006, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire “Inspection Card” are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD07-02083. The overhead will be submitted under a separate permit. *11/06/08 *Plan Modification* Piping the FDC to the street side of the new building. (Cloverdale).

Telcon from Bryan, at Colson & Colson (GC), asking the max. distance of FDC from Fire hydrants. He incidentally mentioned the FDC was shown on civil drwg as a yard FDC along Cloverdale but sprinkler plan shows it on the north wall of the bldg. I subsequently reviewed the building permit Fire review comments and the sprinker plans. The location shown on sprinkler plans does not meet the Fire Code review comment #34, requiring the FDC to be on the street side of the building, clearly visible and discernable from the street. I called Jeff Anderson, TVFP, and explained that we need the FDC to be piped to the exterior side facing Coverdale street. It can be a yard FDC or wall-mounted FDC (except not located in the narrow recessed area which would not be clearly discernable). He agreed to advise the architect and make the change in FDC location.
