The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of installing a 13D fire protection for a Live/Work unit.

Associated building permit BLD08-00224 (live/work unit 25) To construct a 2,000 sq.ft., two story, Live/Work unit (Townhouse) on a zero lot line. The First story includes a 756 sq.ft. non-residential use, operated by the tenant and shall comply with section 419 of the 2007 International Building Code Supplement. The first story also has a 36 sq.ft. covered porch, a 89 sq.ft. covered patio, and a 464 sq.ft. attached two car garage. A maximum of five non-residential workers or employees are allowed to occupy the non-residential area at any one time. The second story includes a 1,244 sq.ft., two bedroom, two bathroom, dwelling unit with a 89 sq.ft. balcony. The dwelling unit shall comply with the 2006 International Residential Code for a Single family townhouse dwelling. This building shall conform to section 903.3.1.3 of the 2006 IBC. An automatic sprinkler system shall be installed throughout in accordance with NFPA 13D. Any and all NFPA 13D systems shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device commonly referred to as a flow switch, and an outside alarm indicating device. A Fire Sprinkler Permit is required prior to beginning any fire sprinkler work. "This lot is within a Floodplain area. An elevation certificate is required to be submitted to and approved by Jim Wyllie, Public Works Department, prior to calling for a framing inspection." One additional head required above the stairway for proper coverage.
1" install on the second floor when the plan indicates 1 1/4"
Main shifted approximately 5' on the second floor. Shifting the mains affected the hydraulic most remote area.
One head was leaking and was being replaced on the second floor.

Told contractor that the plans were approved however, they had to make sure that the heads were no closer than 8' apart in the coffee room to prevent cold sodering.
