To final this permit both flow switches and both PIV tamper switches need to be tested. The inspector test lines do not have the required orfice mounted therefore a test or these devices could not be completed.

Corine with Alarmco called to discuss an issue with this permit. The original submittals indicate an AES module replacing the DACT in an existing fire alarm panel. Per an inspection, it was discovered the AES is being used as the stand alone fire alarm panel. The AES is not listed for this use, therefore I explained to Corine that a plan modification would be required to either provide a fire alarm panel or return the system to its original state. She indicated that they would be installing a new fire alarm panel. Due to a new fire alarm panel being installed, two full sets of submittals indicating items including but not limited to: the fire alarm panel, all fire alarm components, one-line, data sheets, calcs etc. that would normally be submitted for any other sprinkler monitoring system. I also stated that due to the nature of this particular project, that no work outside the originally submitted scope of work could be done until this permit plan modification has been approved. She stated that she understood and asked how long it would take to review the plans. I let her know it would be the standard ten business days.

The AES panel had a Netcon 5. The AES panel was being used as a stand alone facp which is not allowed due to listing. The city approved drawings showed a separate facp connected to the new AES panel. No testing other than the Netcon was performed.

I spoke to Bryan at 7:43 to meet with him first thing. I waited at the project site until 8:15. There was no answer on his phone when I tried to re-contact him. No inspection was performed.
