Mark with Simplex called and asked about the supervisory signal for the VESDA system not showing on the existing graphics display. After discussing with Sam and Troy, it was determined that it does not have to be on the graphic display provided: 1) the owner puts in writing that they agree with that one signal not being indicated on the graphics display, and 2) there is a sign indicating indicating the VESDA supervisory signal (indicate VESDA panel location) is on the FACP and not the graphics display.

Per a phone call with Mark at SimplexGrinnell, the room the VESDA system protects also has full coverage smoke detectors. He wanted to know that since the system smoke detectors send the alarm to the panel, if the VESDA could only send trouble supervisory to the FACP. I told him that as long as the room smoke detectors do provide full coverage and report alarm, then the VESDA panel does not have send alarm to the panel, only trouble and supervisory.
