Description	1-22-10 PLAN MODIFICATION This plan modification is to incorporate the previous review comments and indicate all field modifications. 1-11-10 PLAN MODIFICATION This plan modification is to provide an RF wireless radio rather than a DACT for the central station reporting. An IntelliTap module is being provided. See new notes on the last pages of this review regarding requirements. Also included in this plan modification is the addition of a relay module for mag-lock control, a smoke detector, a strobe, and additional flow and tamper switch monitoring. This fire alarm permit is to provide a new fire alarm panel in a new building. This permit scope includes a full manual system and automatic fire alarm system with notification throughout, sprinkler system monitoring, and HVAC system monitoring. An early start request has been approved - see attached document for details. Associated building permit: BLD09-00461 Priest Retirement Home - To construct a new 16,377 square feet, one story, eight unit, apartment building with common areas and attached garages for retiring Catholic Priests. Each unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a 55 square feet patio. Each unit has a separate means of egress and also share a common path of egress into and through a 1/2-hour exit corridor with 20 minute fire-resistive, listed, labeled, self-closing door assemblies from the dwelling units into the corridor. All eight units are required to comply as Type 'B' accessible dwelling units. All construction shall be per the approved plans, engineering, and attached plan review report. NOTE: This building is required to be fully fire sprinklered per NFPA 13. CUP07-00171 SRZ

Permit finaled. The smoke detectors/sounder bases in the resident rooms did not have temporal tone until Guy changed the cadence programming to sound in temporal. A NetCon 5 was available.

The NetCon reading for the AES panel was only 6 so no testing was performed. I did a conference/walk through with Guy and found two strobes in the north and south corridors to be overspaced but if the candellas are raised they will meet code for room spacing requirements. Also a 110cd strobe in the Handi-cap room is located too close to the ceiling. It will need to be changed to a 177cd or be lowered be 24" or more from the ceilign as per NFPA 72 sleeping area visula requirements. The manual pull station in the fire sprinkler riser room was mounted too high but Guy lowered it while I was on site. The location of all of the other a/v's were veriified and appear ok.
