Spoke with Jason to let him know code does not allow heat detectors to be used as open area smoke detection coverage in place of duct detectors for HVAC shutdown. He stated he would like to find a solution, so I let him know I would hold the plans until Tuesday (12/1/09). If at that time there is nothing that can be found to support using the heat detectors that I would need to reject the plans. He stated he understood.
